Case
2 - Upgrade from "Data Closet" to Data Center

Problem
An established book publisher with locations
throughout the U.S. has dozens of servers and network
equipment in small data closet of a building housing a
plant and corporate offices. A flood in the closet
causes significant hardware and data damage. For weeks
the company is unable to bill accurately or even
identify customers.
GenTech evaluated the data closet, the hardware
and identified telecommunication needs to support
their offices throughout the U.S. Remote offices
accessed data on the servers at the corporate
headquarters.
Solution
GenTech provided a combination of colocation,
network and managed services to move their data
closet, containing their primary data servers, to one
of GenTech's data centers. The result is a more secure
and reliable data environment for critical data.
